New Student Lifeguard Certification
Lifeguard Training, First Aid, & CPR/AED

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Full Course
 
This course is a blended course (online and in-person). Once registered the American Red Cross Instructor will send the participant the online course material, which requires approximately 7 hours to complete. All on-line course material MUST be completed prior to the first day of the class and presented to start the class.
 
All participants MUST pass the American Red Cross Lifeguard Pre-Test which includes:

  • Swim 150 yards directly into treading water for 2 minutes w/o using arms and then swim another 50 yards. (Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence)

  • Swim 20 yards, then diving down to retrieve a weighted brick from approximately 10 feet of water, and successfully resurfacing to swim another 20 yards on your back while holding the brick with both hands. You have a 1 minute and 40 seconds to complete this. (Timed Event)

  • You must be 15 years old to complete the class

If you are looking for Recertification and the dates below do not work, please reach out.  We have some flexibility in scheduling the recertifications.  
 
This class will be conducted in an outdoor pool.

We understand that plans can change! Our refund policy is outlined below:

  • More than 7 days before the class start date:

    • You’ll receive a full refund.

  • Within 7 days of the class start date:

    • A refund will be issued minus a $100 cancellation fee.

  • Less than 36 hours before the class start date:

    • No refunds will be issued.

This policy helps us ensure proper staffing and class planning. Thank you for your understanding and support of our swim programs!

  • If there are not enough class participants this class will be postponed. You will be contacted prior to the start date if the class is canceled.

  • Classes will be held primarily outdoors.

  • Please bring ID for proof of age upon arrival for the classroom portion of course.   

  • If you cannot complete the American Red Cross Lifeguard Pre-test or if you do not successfully complete any portion of the class, no refunds will be given.
