Berkeley Swim Club
MEMBERSHIP INFO
Membership to the Berkeley Swim Club is open to both residents and non-residents of Berkeley Heights.
We do not have a higher rate for non-residents - everyone pays the same rate schedule no matter where you live.
The Berkeley Swim Club is a member-owned club, but we do offer memberships to non-bondholders as well.
We offer the option of paying for a membership by Check or Credit Card. Credit Card payments are subject to an online payment convenience fee.
We currently offer the following membership levels:
Family
This shall consist of a family unit limited to the parent(s) and unmarried children under the age of 21 years. Each individual of such a family unit shall be considered a member of the Club.
Young Family
This shall consist of a family unit limited to the parent(s) and children. To qualify as a Young Family, the oldest child in the family must be less than 7 years old on Opening Day in May. Each individual of such a family unit shall be considered a member of the Club.
Couple
This shall consist of a family unit of husband and wife having no children under the age of 21 years on or before Opening Day of any year the membership is in effect. Each individual comprising such a couple shall be considered a member of this Club.
Single
This shall consist of a single individual who must have reached the age of 21 years on or before May 31 of the year in which the individual applies for membership.
Senior Couple
This shall consist of a family unit of husband and wife having no children under the age of 21 years on or before Opening Day of any year the membership is in effect. Both members of the Senior Couple must have reached the age of 65 years on or before May 31 of the year in which the Senior Couple applies for membership. Each individual comprising such a couple shall be considered a member of this Club.
Senior Single
This shall consist of a Senior Single individual who must have reached the age of 65 years on or before May 31 of the year in which the individual applies for membership.
Teen/Young Adult Single
This shall consist of a single individual, whose other family members are not pool members. The individual must have reached the age of 14 years, but not have reached the age of 21 on or before May 31 of the year in which the individual applies for membership. If under 18, the membership rules must be co-signed by a parent/guardian. This membership has no guest privileges. There are limited membership units available in this category
Caregiver
An Au Pair or babysitter who is watching the children of a member family.
