​Deep Water Lessons

Registration is now OPEN for Deep Water Lessons. ​​

 

Deep water tests are required for anyone under the age of 12 to swim past the lifeguard stand in the main pool, to go in the dive tank, or to use the diving board/slide.

​

This test consists of:

• treading water for one minute

• swimming legal freestyle the length of the pool and back without stopping

  • Legal freestyle requires that you swim face down in the water and breathe to the side. 

• jumping off the diving board and swimming to the ladder

 

In our Deep Water Lessons, swimmers dive into building confidence where it really counts! Instructors help kids master treading water, sharpen their freestyle technique, and boost endurance so they can swim strong and steady. All that practice leads up to one big goal: being ready to rock the BSC Deep Water Test with confidence.

BSC Deep Water Test.***

Deep Water Badge Lessons are $25 per class & available to BSC members ONLY

Payment is due upon registration.

We aim for 5-6 students per instructor

Minimum registration requirement is 3 students per class

Lessons are held rain or shine.

Any BSC cancellations for thunderstorms will have a make-up lesson that following Sunday.

No other make-ups will be scheduled.
