Barracudas Swim Team
​Our Berkeley Barracudas swim team is a great opportunity to improve swimming skills within a close-knit & supportive team environment! We offer both morning and afternoon practice times to accommodate your schedule. Our team competes in the Town & Country Swim League with meets held home at the BSC and at nearby pools in Chatham, Summit and New Providence. Joining the team is a wonderful way for kids and their families to make new friends, learn about competitive swimming and have fun!

Requirements to join:

Evaluations are open to all BSC members 18 & under!
​
(8 & under): Swimmer must be able to complete 1 full lap of legal freestyle stroke without stopping.
​
(ages 9-18): Swimmer must be able to complete 2 full laps of legal freestyle stroke without stopping.
​
Please note: We do also require ALL swimmers to have the endurance to swim independently for at least 30 minutes of practice.
Swim Team dues for 2025 are $200 for first child, $150 for each additional child. These dues cover our league membership, official fees, coaching staff and our team awards picnic. Each swimmer will also receive a complimentary Berkeley Barracudas team t-shirt.
Junior Barracudas Program
After a successful trial run last year we are excited to announce our official Junior Barracudas Program for Summer 2025!

This program is for swimmers 10 & under who can complete 1/2 a lap of freestyle and are looking to build up their endurance and learn to swim backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
Weekday practices are from 11:30 - 12:00 noon or 6:00 - 6:30 pm and will include in-pool instruction with 1 coach for every 5-6 kids.
Junior Barracudas program will run from 6/23 - 7/19. Price is $300 per swimmer and includes a Berkeley Barracudas team t-shirt.​​ This program is open to BSC members only. ​
